In 1969, a young entrepreneur named Manuel Baixauli Pons decided to put his skills as a hands-on business economist into practice and set up his own company.
His background as an industrial chemist, professionally trained in France, coupled with his familiarity with the world of business, led him to start an organisation founded on the principles of good design and creativity, to be dedicated to supplying the construction industry with products that were highly innovative for their time.
The BAIXENS COMPANY, a pioneer in the supply of CHEMICAL PRODUCTS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY, was thus born. The organization offered three basic product lines: an adhesive cement designed to substitute conventional mortar products, a waterproof decorative/protective product to act as a replacement forroofing felt, and a ready-mix finishing plaster for immediate application. Great effort was invested in the complex task of launching these revolutionary products.
More than 30 years of constant hard work later, each one of these products is now a solidly established supporting pillar of the company’s brand image and position in the market.
The set of three basic product lines continues to sum up the range of items offered by the BAIXENS COMPANY: MORTAR PRODUCTS AND ADHESIVE CEMENTS, WATERPROOFING PRODUCTS AND ADDITIVES, along with PUTTY AND PLASTER PRODUCTS.
BAIXENS is currently a 100% Spanish-owned family firm, with a main plant occupying a total of 20,000 square metres and branches in France and Portugal. The company continues to evolve, but still stands by the ideals on which it was originally founded: the quest for innovation, the application of effort, constancy and tenacity, and a versatile and flexible approach to the needs of the market.
